Matteo is bright, articulate, funny, extremely knowledgeable about the history, and most of all, passionate about giving his group the best experience possible. The entire group was thrilled with a spectacular day of stories and insight into the long history of ancient Rome. Matteo went out of his way to anticipate our needs and gauge our fatigue to adjust the pace of a very strenuous day. This was above and beyond what I would have expected and since we had toured with this third party vendor previously, we knew how stressful the process could be. To eliminate any additional stress and walking for our group, he left lunch early to secure our tickets and work out all of the details with the tour operator ahead of time. While at lunch after our first stop at the catacombs and Palatine Hill, Matteo reviewed the details of obtaining our tickets. I had to pre-book tickets for the Colosseum through a third party vendor to ensure they didn't sell out. He immediately outlined a proposed schedule for a full day in Rome to cover all of our specific points of interest and a wonderful lunch to break up the long day of sight seeing.
